This year, four incredible runners are taking on 26.2 miles at the London Marathon for the Duchenne Family Support Group. Each of them has their own story, but they’re all running to support families living with Duchenne. You can meet them below and support their fundraising journeys.
Runner profiles
Caleb Cunningham
Running for his brother
Caleb has grown up alongside Duchenne and is running the London Marathon again for the DFSG. With his brother living with the condition, he’s raising funds to support families like his.
£1,096 raised of £2,000 target.
Diana Camacho
Running for her son
Diana has been inspired by her son Sam, who lives with Duchenne. For her, this isn’t just about the race. It’s about raising awareness and giving back to the kind of support that has helped her family feel less alone.
£1,240 raised of £2,000 target.
Ed Bennett
Running for the community
Ed’s connection to the DFSG began through his work as a PA, where he built a close relationship with a young person living with Duchenne and their family. Seeing that world up close, and the importance of community, is what’s led him to take on the London Marathon.
£1,158 raised of £2,000 target.
Louis Otto
Running for his friend
Louis only started running last year, but has quickly caught the bug. Now, he’s taking on his first ever marathon. He’s running for his friend Daniel, who lives with Duchenne, turning something he loves into a way to give back.
£190 raised of £2,000 target.
